Privacy Policy for Mizoram Labour Link Mobile Application

This Privacy Policy governs the collection, use, storage, and disclosure of personal information by the Mizoram Labour Link mobile application (the “App”), developed and operated by the Labour, Employment, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Department (LESDE), Government of Mizoram, in collaboration with the ICT Department.

By downloading, registering on, or using the App, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

Personal Information You Provide:

Registration Details: Full name, phone number, email address (if provided), password, Aadhaar number (optional or as required), date of birth, gender, address, and profile photo.
Worker Profile: Skills, work experience, preferred job categories, availability, education, and location (with consent).
Employer Profile: Business/individual name, GST, address, contact details, and nature of business.
Job-Related Data: Job postings (description, location, wage, duration, requirements), applications, messages, and chat communications between workers and employers.
Verification Documents: ID proofs or other documents uploaded for verification (where applicable).

Automatically Collected Information:

Device information (model, OS version, unique device ID).
Usage data, IP address, app version, and crash logs.
Location data (GPS) when you enable it for job matching (with your explicit consent).
Cookies or similar technologies for analytics and functionality.

2. Purpose of Collection and Use of Information

We use your information for the following legitimate purposes:

To create and manage your account.
To facilitate job matching between workers and employers.
To send job alerts, notifications (push/SMS), and important updates.
To enable direct communication between users.
To verify identity and prevent fraud or misuse.
To improve the App, conduct analytics, and enhance user experience.
To comply with legal obligations under Indian laws.
For any other purpose with your consent.

3. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal data to any third party.

We may share your information in the following limited cases:

With other registered users (e.g., employers see worker profiles when you apply for a job, and vice versa) — only necessary information is shared.
With government authorities or law enforcement when required by law.
With service providers (e.g., cloud hosting, SMS gateway, push notification services) under strict confidentiality agreements.

All sharing complies with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable laws of India.
