The Directorate General of Employment (DGE) Ministry of Labour and Employment (MOLE) is implementing the National Career Service (NCS) Project which aims to provide variety of employment related services. The NCS project include establishment of Model Career Centers (MCCs) to modernize the employment related services. MCCs are expected to connect local youth and other job seekers with possible available job opportunities in the vicinity. The MCCs would be undertaking outreach and counseling activities for the aspiring job seekers. The Central Government provides Grants-in-Aid to the State Government of Mizoram for establishment of Model career Centers at the Aizawl, Lunglei, Siaha, Champhai Employment Exchange under National Career Service Project.
As part of the MCC scheme the Ministry approved deployment of Young Professional providing uniform employment related services at each MCCs for facilitating the smooth and efficient functioning of Model Career Centres, facilitating the transition of employment exchange into Career Centre’s by actively engaged in capacity building, branding and training on National Career Service Project. The YPs are actively involved in coordinating various outreach activities in colleges conducting an interaction with the students and teachers, publicize the career centre services, importance of National Career Service Portal and help them in registration.
